In Junior Cycle, mathematics is broken down into four areas of learning; number, geometry and trigonometry, algebra and functions, statistics and probability. This subject can be taken at both higher and ordinary level. Students will complete 2 CBAs during their time in junior cycle; CBA 1 takes place in 2nd year and CBA2 takes place in 3rd year. There is a 2 hour written paper in June of 3rd Year.
