Special Class 2027/2028

The procedure for applying for a place in a Special Class has changed. Please follow the new application process and deadlines to avoid any delay in the processing of your application.

Step 1: Notify the NCSE

Use the Parents Notify online portal to inform the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) that you are seeking a place for your child in a Special Class or Special School.

The Parents Notify form allows the NCSE to assess your child’s eligibility. Once the form has been submitted, the NCSE will review the information and supporting reports provided. If the eligibility criteria are met, you will receive an Eligibility Letter. This letter must be included when applying for a place in a Special Class or Special School.

Step 2: Submit the School Application

Complete the school’s application form and submit it together with your NCSE Eligibility Letter from the SENO.
