CNM Cinnirí

A Cinnire is a role-model and will be expected to uphold our school rules and ethos to a very high standard.  Your behaviour, attitude to work and appearance must be exemplary and we expect our Cinnirí to represent  the school positively in the local and wider community.

As a Cinnire, you will have a number of additional roles  and responsibilities including supervising students at sós and lón, guiding visitors around the school and helping out at school events (such as Open Evening and Parents Night).

The role of a Cinnire is an important one and, if chosen, you will be accepting a position of considerable responsibility. Therefore, the candidates carefully selected to be student leaders of Coláiste na Mí must be accountable, diligent, hardworking and ready to represent the school at any given time. A Cinnire must represent our nine values at all times; respect, justice, honour, integrity, honesty, saothar, kindness, teamwork and responsibility. The positions require forward-thinking, confident individuals who will introduce new ideas to the school and maintain the positive ethos.  A Cinnire will act as a link between muinteoirí and daltaí, so you must be an excellent communicator.

The role of a Cinnire is recognised beyond school and it is an excellent achievement to put on your CV and to mention when completing university applications. Being a successful Cinnire demonstrates leadership skills and commitment to a role.
